Trico Centre is seeking a full-time technically-oriented building operator with solid problem solving and decision making skills.If you posses three to five years experience as a Building Operator, believe in setting high standards for yourself and are able to work evening and weekend shifts we are looking for you.
Responsibilities:
Delivers “hands on” maintenance to HVAC systems and boiler operations
Provides proven competency in plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs
Supports and provides set-up for all areas within the facility (arena rink floods, gymnasium equipment, meeting rooms, etc.)
Completes general facility repairs and preventative maintenance
Provides some general clean-up for the arena
Qualifications:
Building Operator A, Class 4 Engineer or Journeyman Certificate is required
Three years related operating experience preferably for swimming pool and ice facility maintenance
Solid working knowledge on safety procedures
Able to lift substantial weight during course of a regular work day
Must have a valid drivers’ license
Required Skills/Experience:
Able to work well independently and in a fast-paced work environment
Must be team-oriented
Punctual, reliable and possess a positive attitude
Enjoys working in a multi-faceted building
Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
Possess high cleaning standards
Friendly and enjoys a busy work environment
Able to work evenings and weekends
