PROGRAM FACILITATOR (ART)

 

Prospect, one of Alberta’s most innovative and leading non-profits, is seeking experienced, local and practicing artists to join our Art Services team. Your approach to working with stakeholders and partners is highly innovative, creative, dynamic and collaborative. You enjoy sharing your talents and passion, art instruction, gallery coordination, promoting disability arts and supporting artists both with and without disabilities. 

Reporting to the Art Services Supervisor, you will lead, facilitate and coordinate efforts that result in a more fully integrated arts community in Calgary. You will work closely with other artists and groups to develop relationships, promote artists with disabilities and build capacity to address issues facing a diverse Calgary art scene. You will also develop and instruct art courses based on your own practice and expertise.

Responsibilities include fostering and building relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders, creating linkages between the Calgary art community, community at large and disability arts, helping guide stakeholders and partners in the development of inclusion strategies. Facilitate art courses including class preparation and management, providing adaptations to the delivery of art services to accommodate disability related barriers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated relationships and knowledge of the arts community
  • Demonstrated experience and success in key result areas: Stakeholder Engagement and Relationships, Building Community Capacity, Planning and Implementation
  • Ability to effectively plan and coordinate community collaboration including special projects, events, gallery tours, exhibits and guest artists
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage details with a strong focus on outcomes
  • Bachelor or Fine Arts Degree
